About

One practice. End to end.

Cloudbuilder is principal-led by design, not by default.

Practice

The practice

Cloudbuilder is a productised data platform practice. It was built to solve a specific problem: senior buyers in regulated industries need principal-level delivery — the kind where the person who designed the architecture is the same person who builds it, runs it, and hands it over. That model doesn’t exist at scale inside most consultancies. It exists here because the practice is structured around it.

Founder

The founder

Lee Picton FRSA MBCS has spent fifteen years building data platforms that enterprises actually use — Azure, Databricks, Lakehouse — in financial services, aviation, automotive, construction, media, and public sector. The engagements span private and regulated sectors. They include British Car Auctions, Castle Trust Bank, Heathrow Airport, David Lloyd Leisure, Mindshare, and Wates Construction in commercial industries; in public sector and regulated bodies, NHS Property Services, The Pensions Regulator, Royal College of Surgeons, the Charity Commission, and the MHRA. The Cloudbuilder practice exists to do principal-level work.
